Welcome to the Chester & North Wales Medical Society

Mission Statement

The Chester and North Wales Medical Society promotes good patient care by supporting medical education, research and charities through educational meetings and entertainment events, sustaining links between general practitioners and hospital doctors in the area.

Our President for 2025 was Dr Stewart Leitch from Northgate Medical Centre and Dr Gerry Doyle will take over in 2026.

Events

• Presidential Evening – Thursday 15 January, 2026. Dr Gerry Doyle, our President for 2026 – ‘Ending up in Interventional Radiology via Paediatrics and Immunology. A tale of fortuity and hard work‘

• The Institute of Health and Wellbeing at the University of Chester are delighted to offer a series of free open access events during this academic term. The highly regarded guest lecturers are covering a range of health related topics and CNWMS Members are welcome. The programme and details of how to register can be found here.
